Police release report on three sisters who died at sea near Brighton Beach

• Sussex Police have confirmed that three sisters from London, Jane Adetoro, Christina Walters, and Rebecca Walters, died by drowning off Brighton beach in May.
• The force concluded its investigation after finding no evidence of third-party involvement, criminality, or harm caused by any individuals.
• Inquiries established that the women were dropped off by taxi at Madeira Drive on the evening of 12 May before entering the water in everyday clothing.
• Chief Superintendent Adam Hays noted that the investigation intentionally considered concerns raised by Black communities regarding deaths of Black people in or near water.
• The inquest into their deaths will now resume to formally establish how, when, and where the three sisters died.
