TOH Puan Na'imah Abdul Khalid today said the contents of a police report, which had since gone viral, were false and preposterous.
"The individual who lodged the report approached me and offered his services in July 2025 as part of a proposed communications team.
"Due to his poor job performance, he was terminated. After his termination, he had attempted to make further monetary demands.
"This is clearly the conduct of a disgruntled man," she said in a statement.
The widow of the late Tun Daim Zainuddin said the timing of the report - seven months after the alleged meeting and on the heels of the biggest scandals facing the government points to a desperate attempt to distract them from growing calls to remove the person who leads the MACC.
