
- Australian police have released new images to mark the 25th anniversary of British backpacker Peter Falconio's murder, hoping to find his remains.
- Mr Falconio, 28, was murdered and his girlfriend Joanne Lees assaulted by Bradley John Murdoch on a remote Australian highway on 14 July 2001.
- Murdoch was convicted in 2005 and sentenced to life imprisonment, but died in prison in 2025 without revealing the location of Mr Falconio's body.
- A reward of up to AU$500,000 (£260,000) is being offered for information leading to the discovery of Mr Falconio's remains.
- Northern Territory Police are committed to exhausting every possibility to bring closure to Mr Falconio's family and Ms Lees.
