Ipoh police ask the public for information on Muhammad Riduan Abdullah, wanted over a 2014 court warrant related to a child custody dispute.
IPOH: Police are seeking public assistance to locate a man wanted in connection with a committal warrant issued by the Ipoh High Court in 2014.
The individual is K. Patmanathan @ Muhammad Riduan Abdullah, 57, whose last known address was in Persiaran Pegoh Dua, off Jalan Pasir Puteh.
Ipoh police chief ACP Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad urged anyone with information to contact investigating officer ASP Yap Siew Cheng.
Muhammad Riduan Abdullah converted to Islam in 2009 and subsequently left his Ipoh residence with his then 11-month-old daughter, Prasana Diksa.
He later unilaterally converted his daughter to Islam without the consent of his former wife, Indira Gandhi.
The Ipoh High Court granted Indira Gandhi full custody of her daughter in 2010 and ordered Muhammad Riduan to hand the child over.
In 2016, the Federal Court ordered the Inspector-General of Police to arrest Muhammad Riduan for defying the custody order.
