Police station chief caught with four banned substances in his body

A POLICE station chief was caught using drugs while partying at an entertainment centre in Pandan Perdana, Kuala Lumpur, last Friday.

Urine tests confirmed the presence of four types of banned substances in his body, reported Harian Metro.

The 43-year-old man was arrested by the Bukit Aman Narcotics Crime Investigation Department (JSJN) while partying and is believed to have consumed juice suspected of containing drugs at the entertainment centre, at about 5.05 pm.

The arrest of the police officer during the surprise inspection was carried out after the Bukit Aman JSJN received a tip-off.

Initial urine screening tests found the suspect positive for amphetamine, methamphetamine, ketamine, and benzo drugs.

Selangor Police Chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan confirmed the arrest of the police officer involved.

"This case is being investigated and the police officer involved has been remanded for two days to assist in the investigation.

"The case is being investigated under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952," he said when contacted by Harian Metro, today. – April 20, 2025
