SANDAKAN: The police uncovered a disturbing trend involving the sale and use of vape liquid suspected to contain dangerous drugs during a recent series of Ops Tapis Narkotik raids.
The illegal activity was detected between April 7 and 8 at two separate locations in Bandar Prima and Bandar Indah Jaya, Mile 4 here.
Three men were arrested during the raids.
Seized items included crystal meth and vape liquid suspected to contain illicit substances, with investigations carried out under Sections 12(2) and 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
District Police Chief ACP Ahsmon Bajah said the arrests are part of an ongoing operation since March 29 targeting drug distribution and abuse across the district, where 18 suspects, both locals and non-citizens, have been detained.
