Kota Kinabalu: Police are urged to act against the owner of an online portal known as “Sabahkini2.com” for publishing a “slanderous” article accusing six Warisan assemblymen of signing a document in support of Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.

Darau Assemblyman Azhar Datuk Matussin said it is not a first time it has happened.

Together with six Warisan assemblymen, he said they denied being involved in signing the Statutory Declarations (SDs) to leave Parti Warisan in the near future.

“I am with the five assemblymen, namely Ben Chong Chen Bin (Tanjung Kapur), Assaffal Alian (Tungku), Norazlinah Arif (Kunak), Datuk Dr Daud Yusof (Bongawan) and Mohamad Mohammarin (Banggi).

“We have never signed the SDs or been involved in supporting Hajiji as reported in the ‘SabahKini2.com’ portal,” he said in a statement, Tuesday, after lodging a police report at the Penampang police station.

Azhar, who is also a Warisan Supreme Council (AMT) member, said police together with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) should take strict action against the portal.
