- Police are investigating a serious assault that occurred in Hackney, London, just after 1am on Saturday, 12 July, leaving a 24-year-old man with severe head injuries.
- The incident took place on Gascoyne Road, near Bradstock Road, following an altercation involving the victim and a group of men after the England v Norway World Cup match.
- The victim was taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service and remains in a serious condition.
- Detectives have released an image of a man they wish to speak to, described as white, in his 20s or 30s, with light brown hair, and wearing a blue and white England shirt.
- No arrests have been made, and officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to contact them on 101, quoting reference CAD 600/12JUL, or anonymously via Crimestoppers.
