
THE sole suspect in the murder of Nur Farah Kartini Abdullah was charged at the Kuala Kubu Baru magistrates’ court today.
Alif Monjani, a 26-year-old lance corporal stationed at the Slim River police station in Perak, arrived at the Kuala Kubu Baru magistrates’ court complex under heavy police security.
No plea was recorded as the charge, which is framed under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder, is under the jurisdiction of the High Court.
Berita Harian reported that family members of both Farah and Alif were seen entering the courtroom.
Sarawak resident Farah was reported missing on July 10, before her body was found at an oil palm plantation in Kampung Sri Kledang, Hulu Selangor, on July 15.
The 25-year-old was reported missing after delivering a rental car to a customer.
The identity of the victim was confirmed by a DNA test. – July 26, 2024.
