Policeman swept away by flood currents found drowned in Sepang

A policeman from Nilai headquarters drowned after his car skidded into a flood-hit drain near Klinik Desa Giching in Sepang.

SEPANG: A policeman who went missing after being swept away by strong currents was found drowned this morning.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department deputy operations director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar confirmed the victim’s body was discovered at 7.30 am.

“The body was found approximately 50 metres from the vehicle by the search team,” he told reporters.

Sepang Police chief ACP Norhizam Bahaman said the officer was attached to Nilai police headquarters.

The victim was believed to be traveling to work after visiting family in the area.
