Not long ago, a politician, Dr Halimah Ali expressed her fear of autism and cancer when it comes to Menu Rahmah if the food is prepared without taking into consideration the quality. Today (February 27), Dr Halimah took the opportunity to apologise for her remark in Parliament.
It was not a simple apology, as she took the time to recite an apology Gurindam, a form of poetry that is unconditional, which was also shared on her Facebook page.

In short, Dr Halimah apologises for any words that may have caused a misunderstanding.
A couple of weeks ago, Dr Halimah stated that she does not want to see the B40 group of people receiving low-quality food supplies, which may expose them to cancer, autoimmune diseases, autism and other diseases. Her remark did not sit well with many Malaysians, with PH’s Dr Kelvin Yii asking for clarification on what food actually causes autism.
“Is this even an apology?”
Malaysians, however, were not impressed by her apology, and some of them stated that the Parliament is not a place to recite a poem. Others said that she should’ve apologised in a better manner.
“Why are you apologising? I thought you said the media twisted your words?”
“Apologise properly if you want to do it. Don’t say that your words have caused a misunderstanding.”
“Is this even an apology?”
“Playing victim now? Why are you apologising when you’ve made it clear that you didn’t say it?”
“I hate it when people apologise like this. Not sincere and egotistical.”
“That’s not even an apology. You’re still blaming the people for misunderstanding your words.”
