A 29-year-old woman from Sukabumi, Indonesia died after she was believed to have been beaten and run over by a car by her boyfriend who is also the son of a politician in Surabaya, Indonesia.
The chronology of the murder of the victim known as DSA began when the suspect named Gregorius Ronald Tannur, 31, took the victim to a karaoke center in Surabaya to have fun.
But not long after that, there was a heated altercation in the karaoke room between the suspect and the victim.
For an unknown reason, the politician’s son then yanked the victim's hand out of the karaoke room and into a quiet parking lot. The suspect hit and ran over the victim with his car without thinking.
The incident, however, was successfully caught by the premises' closed-circuit television (CCTV). The security guards there were also alerted to the incident, but they could only watch as the suspect shoved the victim into the car and drove him back to his apartment.
When the suspect arrived at the apartment, he brought the victim out to take her back to his room, but as soon as the victim got out of the car, she collapsed in the parking lot.
The panicked suspect noticed the victim in critical condition and requested assistance from the people at the site to help bring the victim to the National Hospital, but due to her critical condition, she could not be saved and died.
The police inquiry revealed that the victim had injuries on her neck, head, legs, chest, and arms as a result of being hit and driven over by a car.
According to Majoriti, the suspect is still being sought, and the exact cause of the incident is being investigated.
At the same time, the lawmaker declined to comment on the incident, instead deferring to the police inquiry.
