Kota Kinabalu: Federation of Chinese Associations Malaysia (Huazong) President Tan Sri Dr T.C. Goh hopes Sabah will not be polluted by religious extremism as was evident in the peninsula in the recent six state election campaigns there.

He said politicians should not play up 3R (religion, race and royalty) sentiments.

“Politicians should emulate federation of associations such as the FCAS where we prioritise peace, harmony and sharing.

“What’s the point of fighting over power and creating chaos when the economy is on a downturn and our people are living in poverty?” he asked, when closing the Kota Kinabalu Torch Run of the 38th National Chinese Cultural Festival 2023 at Kota Kinabalu Community Hall, Sunday.
