KUALA LUMPUR: The online application portal for Session 1 of the 2026/2027 academic year is now active. Prospective students have until 5 pm on March 27 to submit their applications via the MyPOLYCC e-Form.
The intake covers programmes at 36 polytechnics and 106 community colleges nationwide. Eligibility is broad, extending to Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) leavers from 2024 and earlier.
Holders of certificates from polytechnics, community colleges, vocational colleges, and various skills institutes are also eligible to apply. This includes graduates with a Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) Level 3.
For the first time, graduates of the Higher Secondary Vocational Programme and SKM Level 2 can apply this year. Students with disabilities who have completed Form Five or special education programmes are invited to apply for 12 Special Skills Certificate programmes.
“Applications are limited to students with hearing and learning disabilities,” stated the Polytechnic and Community College Education Department. Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) holders are also encouraged to apply.
Registration for the new intake is scheduled for June 14 for foundation programmes. Diploma, certificate and special skills certificate programmes will begin registration on June 21.
A new exclusive programme, NAVALTech@PSA, will be introduced through a collaboration with Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Polytechnic and the Royal Malaysian Navy. It aims to supply 200 skilled technical workers annually for the RMN Specialised Tasks Diploma.
The programme is offered through four diploma streams at PSA: mechanical engineering, mechanical engineering (industrial packaging), electronic engineering (communications) and electronic engineering (control).
