Potholes can be very annoying when the road is just full of them. Other than that, they are also dangerous as they can damage your car.
It can be incredibly frustrating to have to wait for the authorities to fix potholes as it might just never be fixed!
As for a village in Thailand named Non Man Thet in the Nakhon Ratchasima province, northeast Thailand, a stretch of road is filled with potholes and has not been repaired for 10 years!
That road connects two provinces, so it is a heavily used road. With that many potholes and no actual road, it is dangerous for motorists, especially when it rains.
The biggest pothole of all is located in front of a school. So when it rains, it turns into a pond, and students have trouble going to and returning from school.
A villager who has had enough took out his phone and fishing rod to “fish” in the pond as a jab at the local government’s inaction, reported CH3 Plus News.
The “fisherman” said they had contacted the local council several times over the years to urge them to repair the road.
However, they were given the same answer multiple times to “calm down, be patient and wait.”
The villagers were patient as they had waited for 10 years and it still has not been fixed. We certainly hope that their local government will be spurred to take action after this.
