- SLR Food Distribution Inc has issued a recall for its Wise Wife brand Ground Cinnamon across more than a dozen US states due to potential lead contamination.
- The New York-based distributor launched the recall following testing by Connecticut state authorities, though no illnesses have been reported to date.
- The affected 3.88-ounce plastic bottles were distributed between September 2025 and June 2026, bearing a Best Before date of 25 April 2027.
- The bottles were distributed to stores in Connecticut, Indiana, Kansas, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, Nebraska, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin.
- Consumers have been advised not to consume the product and to either discard it or return it to the point of purchase for a full refund.
