Kota Kinabalu: The Kadazan-Dusun singing competition is one of the ways to preserve the language and culture of the Kadazan-Dusun people, said Datuk Seri Panglima Clarence B. Malakun.

The Kadazandusun Cultural Association (KDCA) Deputy President said by popularising Kadazan-Dusun songs, not only are the language and culture preserved, but singers can also make it their careers.

He made these remarks when officiating the Open Category of the Hozou Songkotoun Kadazan-Dusun Singing Competition 2024 at the Grand Ballroom 2, ITCC Penampang on Saturday (July 20).

The competition was organised by the KDCA Penampang & Putatan Coordinating Body.
