SANDAKAN: A total of 650 containers of ‘bubur lambuk’ were distributed by Sandakan Prison to the surrounding residents in conjunction with the month of Ramadan, recently.

Its Director, AB Nasif Sarahan, said the distribution activity is an annual event.

“Lambuk porridge is prepared by the inmates and staff in the prison, and its distribution is carried out with the assistance of members of the prison and those on parole.

“We consider this a contribution to the community as well as a means to convey the concerns of the Sandakan Prison to the public,” he said.
