Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou has spoken about rejuvenating the club's under-performing stars.

Many of the Spurs first teamers were struggling to find their best selves last season.

However, Postecoglou coming in has brought a fresh perspective and an attacking mindset into the team.

Speaking about the changes he's made, the Aussie told reporters: It hasn't been anything specific or pre-determined. We've just changed the environment, the way we train and the way we do things. It's up to the players themselves.

It's as much their decision as mine as to whether they embrace that and take it on board. I don't think there's any player who wouldn't take responsibility for what happened last year, it wouldn't just fall at the manager's feet. When you have a tough period, what I've found anyway is that strong people understand they're just as culpable as anyone else. The only way to change that is by changing and embracing the new direction.

Whether they're existing players or new players or staff, they have been prepared to do that and take responsibility for what happened last year, and now understand that if we're going to have success they have to take their own share of responsibility by buying into it."
