
KOTA BELUD: About 20,000 chickens were killed in a fire that destroyed a poultry coop in Kampung Rampayan Ulu here on Monday afternoon.
The Fire and Rescue Department received the emergency call at 12.34pm and arrived at the scene, 31 kilometres away, at 1.18pm.
The fire, which engulfed 95 per cent of a semi-permanent structure, was brought under control by 1.56pm and fully extinguished by 2pm.
