SANDAKAN: The State Government must take more effective action to deal with the electricity and water supply problems which are becoming increasingly critical at the moment.

Perikatan Nasional (PN) Sabah Chairman Datuk Seri Ronald Kiandee, who is also Beluran Member of Parliament, said previously the problem only occurred in rural areas but, lately, happening in urban areas including the State Capital.

He said in fact, even more seriously a few days ago, the Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA) was also not spared from experiencing water supply disruptions.

“The failure of the State Government to deal with the disruption of such important supplies is embarrassing and damaging for the image of Sabah as a state of investment and tourism,” he said in a statement here Thursday.
