PPCRV to audit BARMM elections

MANILA, Philippines — The Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) on Thursday said it would be covering and auditing the upcoming Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) elections next month.

In a Viber message to reporters, PPCRV spokesman Ana Singson also announced the launch of the new command center at the AMA School of Medicine Annex Building in Makati City on Sept. 8, 2026.

The watchdog will conduct on the ground monitoring with desks in all polling centers across BARMM, with live reports will be fed to them on a real time basis from the region.

“Transmitted results will be received from the Comelec server granted to PPCRV. We will be transmitting results as they arrive on Election Day onwards. We will be transmitting from our Command Center,” Singson said.

“Election returns will be sent from all polling centers of BARMM to our Manila Command Center where they will be manually scanned then compared to the transmitted results for integrity check. This checks the integrity of the transmitted vote,” she added.

The PPCRV is also involved in the Random Manual Audit which checks the vote counting machine’s accuracy.

The first-ever Bangsamoro Parliamentary election will be on Sept. 14, with the PPCRV’s Unofficial Parallel Count starting from Sept. 17 or 18, ending on Sept. 20.
