SANDAKAN: Telupid Assemblyman Datuk Jonnybone J Kurum advised public transport drivers and motorists in Sabah to practice caution when driving.
He said this is important to avoid untoward incidences, especially fatal accidents.
In view of the terrible road condition in some parts of Sabah, road users should avoid speeding or reckless driving.
“Tolerance and patience are required, especially given the current state of our roads,” he said when met after the launching of the Jelajah Wanita GRS Zone 5B held at the Libaran Multipurpose Hall, here, last Sunday.

He noted that the Sabah Public Works Minister Datuk Shahelmey Yahya had also visited the road along Beluran to Telupid and Ranau.
“The government is currently working on repairing the damaged roads.
The concessionaire started maintenance work on the roads concerned,” said Jonnybone.
He also hoped road repairs and maintenance would be expedited, especially in Sandakan.
