Prasarana has announced that My50 Travel Pass users will soon have the convenience of renewing their monthly pass directly through the Touch ‘n Go eWallet app, starting May 2025.

Users will have the option to renew their passes using any NFC-enabled card linked to their Touch ‘n Go eWallet. Physical renewals will also still be available at Rapid Rail stations for those who prefer to manage their passes in person.

However, the previously announced support for smartphones and QR code scanning as alternatives for the My50 pass has yet to be activated, and no implementation timeline has been provided for these features.

The My50 Travel Pass has gained popularity since its introduction, growing from 98,000 active monthly users in 2019 to 220,000 in 2023. The pass was introduced as part of efforts to reduce transportation costs for Malaysians who rely on Rapid KL services.
