A nurse at a government clinic has received praise online after she allegedly stood her ground during a payment dispute involving a pregnant Rohingya woman.
The incident was shared on Threads by user @mummydira8, who said her aunt witnessed the exchange while attending a pregnancy check-up at the clinic.
According to the OP, the Rohingya woman had gone to the clinic to open her maternal health record, commonly known as a “Buku Pink”.
Claimed she had no money for the deposit
Before the woman could enter, a nurse allegedly informed her that she was required to pay a RM30 deposit.

“To enter, you need to pay a RM30 deposit,” the nurse reportedly told her.
However, the woman allegedly replied: “I don’t have any money.”
The nurse then firmly told her that payment was still required despite it being a government clinic.
“If you don’t have money, go home or go to a private clinic. You still need to pay here,” the nurse allegedly said.
According to the OP, the woman became upset but later took out her debit card and paid the RM30 deposit.
The OP’s aunt reportedly reacted with surprise after seeing the woman produce a bank card despite initially claiming that she had no money.
Questioned why she needed to pay again
The OP claimed that another disagreement broke out shortly afterwards when the woman was told that an additional payment was required for a baby scan.

“You paid a RM30 deposit earlier. You still need to pay separately for the baby scan,” the nurse reportedly explained.
The woman allegedly questioned why she had to pay again and pointed towards Malaysian patients at the clinic.
“Why do I need to pay? I already paid earlier. These people did not pay either,” she allegedly said.
The nurse then raised her voice and replied: “Do you remember that you are not Malaysian? Pay now. You cannot enter for the scan without paying.”
Male nurse stepped in
As the argument reportedly grew louder, a male nurse came out and intervened.
“What is the problem? If you want to enter, pay. If you don’t want to, go home. This is a clinic for mothers and children, so you cannot make noise here,” he allegedly told the woman.
The OP claimed that the woman eventually left the clinic following the confrontation.
