Prime Minister set for official visit to Sabah tomorrow

PRIME MINISTER Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is scheduled to undertake an official visit to Sabah tomorrow, with a full itinerary spanning public engagements and community events across Kota Kinabalu and Sepanggar.

The Prime Minister will commence his visit at midday by attending the opening ceremony of the 2026 National Consumer Day celebrations at Suria Sabah, Kota Kinabalu.

Later in the afternoon, at 2:30 pm, Anwar is expected to participate in the Mini Justice Convention and officiate the Annual Branch General Meeting (MATC) for the Sabah state-level chapter, to be held at the Klagan Hotel.

Continuing his engagements, he will visit the University Apartment Ramadan Bazaar in Sepanggar at 4:55 pm to observe and interact with vendors and members of the public attending the bazaar.

The visit will conclude with a community iftar, or breaking of fast, at 5:30 pm at the Lecture Hall Complex, Central 2, University Malaysia Sabah (UMS), where the Prime Minister will join the public in the Ramadan meal.  - March 14, 2026
