In a post on Facebook, Anwar described the stop as a welcome opportunity to meet his elder brother, younger sibling, and other close relatives.

“After attending to matters in Permatang Pauh, I returned briefly to our family home in Cherok Tokun and met my elder brother, younger sibling, and other close family members,” he wrote.

Reflecting on the visit, the Prime Minister added, “Thank God, I was able to ease the longing and reminisce a little about old memories with the family before continuing my journey to Kulim, Kedah.”
