Kuala Lumpur: Robert Pattinson’s psychological thriller 'Primetime' has been banned from Malaysian cinemas by the Film Censorship Board (LPF).
Local distributor Antenna Entertainment announced the cancellation on X on Tuesday, saying the film would no longer be released in Malaysia following the LPF’s decision.
Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) also confirmed that the film’s Malaysian release had been cancelled, while no specific reason for the ban has been made public by LPF.
The film’s Malaysian release had earlier been postponed from Oct 1 to Oct 8 before the cancellation was announced.
Directed by Lance Oppenheim, 'Primetime' stars Pattinson as a television host inspired by Chris Hansen and explores the controversial world of televised sting operations targeting suspected child predators.
