Kota Kinabalu: Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) Vice President David Ong called on the Government to prioritise fairness and affordability for all consumers while ensuring the sustainability and stability of the energy sector.
“We are deeply concerned about the potential imbalance in energy costs that may be passed through to domestic users, as well as the potential increase of tariffs to high voltage non-domestic users in the Imbalance Cost Pass-Through (ICPT) which due on 30 June 2023,” he said.
He said domestic customers in Sabah were not affected by the ICPT implementation which started on January 1, 2023, in the State.
