KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 19 — Two vehicles bearing the Prison Department logo were seen entering the residence of former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak at Jalan Langgak Duta here this morning.
The vehicles arrived at the premises from about 9.45am.
Several individuals dressed in plain clothes were later seen speaking with Najib’s aide, Ahmad Lutfi Azhar.
They were subsequently observed walking around the front yard and perimeter of the residence, including the fencing beside the property.

The purpose of the visit was not immediately confirmed.
Ahmad Lutfi greeted members of the press during the visit but declined to comment.
About a dozen journalists and photographers had gathered outside the residence since early this morning, awaiting further developments.

The purpose of the visit was not immediately confirmed. — Picture by Milda Hassandarvish The visit came a day after the Legal Affairs Division of the Prime Minister’s Department announced that Najib had been granted a conditional pardon allowing him to serve the remainder of his prison sentence under house arrest until August 23, 2028, subject to the payment of a RM50 million fine.
The decision was made at the 64th meeting of the Pardons Board for the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur, Labuan and Putrajaya, with the consent of His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia.
