  • Stephanie Adair, a 29-year-old prison nurse from Southwark, south London, has pleaded guilty at Kingston Crown Court to a single count of misconduct in a public office.
  • The court heard that Adair engaged in an inappropriate personal relationship with inmate Jakhi Crosdale at HMP Wandsworth between September 2023 and November 2024, keeping in touch using his illicit mobile phone.
  • Crosdale, 28, who was previously convicted of manslaughter, pleaded guilty to the unauthorised transmission of image or sound by electronic communication from within HMP Wandsworth and HMP Lowdham Grange.
  • Appearing via video link from HMP Manchester, Crosdale remains on recall until 2029, while Adair appeared in the dock in person to confirm her details and enter her plea.
