
Kota Kinabalu: There is a need for Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) to strengthen cooperation with industry players, especially in the aspects of research and development, commercialisation and innovation, in order to produce competitive graduates.
He said UMS must create an education environment that primes the university in becoming a centre of excellence so it can produce industry-relevant graduates that meet the demand for skilled manpower nationwide and internationally.
“An investor-friendly Sabah is in dire need of knowledgeable and skilled graduates to meet the demands of the industry.
“I hope UMS will be a university that is capable of producing industry-ready graduates in the future,” he said during the oath-taking ceremony of the 29th UMS Intake Session (2023/2024) at UMS Chancellor Hall, here, Tuesday.
