Kota Kinabalu: The Creating Millionaires Among Young Women Entrepreneurs (Creamers) programme can empower entrepreneurial knowledge, financial management and marketing virtually or face-to-face.

Community Development and People’s Welfare Minister Datuk James Ratib said it is an entrepreneurship programme that involves young female entrepreneurs and focused on the development of entrepreneurship in the digital era.

“Through this programme apart from theoretical learning, this project also use the mentor-mentee or hands-holding method.

“Some entrepreneurs from this programme have been taken abroad such as Indonesia and Bangkok as an inspiration to female entrepreneurs to get new ideas and create strategic relationships and networks.

His speech was delivered by his Assistant Minister Datuk Flovia Ng.

In his speech, James also stated that women’s empowerment efforts need to be streamlined because women are seen as the driving force for the development of human capital, including aspects of the country’s economy.

“The seminar held is very appropriate in empowering and encouraging young women to become competitive entrepreneurs and able to achieve success for themselves and raise the state’s image.

“Empowering women in Sabah is the main image to ensure that women are prosperous, proactive and knowledgeable so that they are always relevant to the mainstream and contribute to the progress of the state and the nation,” he said.
