Kota Kinabalu: The district here will emerge as a strategic transshipment hub for the region if the Kudat International Port and Industrial Park projects materialise.
Tanjong Kapor Assemblyman Ben Chong Chen Bin said such development would benefit not only Kudat and the people with creation of ample jobs but also boost the industries and economy in Sabah.
He said almost 3,000 acres in Kg Limau-Limauan, here, located at coastal area here, had been identified as a proposed site for the projects.
“A group of investors from China visited Kg Limau-Limauan last month. I personally accompanied them, along with Datuk Rubin Balang, the Chairman of Sabah Economic Development Corporation (Sedco) to look at the proposed site.
