
Kota Kinabalu: Perbadanan Insurans Deposit Malaysia (PIDM) is holding its Mini Financial Literacy Open Day today at Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) to educate its staff and students, in collaboration with Financial Education Network (FEN) partners as its ongoing efforts in promoting financial literacy and enhancing financial resilience among the public.
PIDM acts as an advocate for financial literacy and aims to build a financially literate and financially resilient society through its awareness campaigns.
Among the many session engagements with UMS participants, one will be on “How to protect yourself and your family from scams and mule accounts.”
During a media lunch on Nov 8, PIDM Executive Vice President Wan Ahmad Ikram engaged with media practitioners with fellow FEN partners in Sabah – Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), Agensi Kaunseling dan Pengurusan Kredit (AKPK), and Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) on its education outreach, also through university students returning to their rural areas that raise awareness on financial literacy that can also prevent scams.
