SANDAKAN: Historical and heritage sites in the district should be preserved and promoted to the general public, especially teenagers and young adults.
Sandakan Municipal Council President, Benedict Asmat, said this was important so that they also get to know the history of an area and learn its values.
“The Heritage Trail introduced by the Sandakan Heritage Trail team also provided information about the historical remains in Sandakan,” he said when officiating the Sandakan Heritage Trail Plogging in conjunction with Girls Summit 2022 Surf-Vival at Dataran MPS on Saturday.
