It is shaping up to be the year of the Chanel man, after all. Chanel has just announced Pedro Pascal as its latest House Ambassador, to nobody’s surprise.
In a statement, Chanel’s creative director Matthieu Blazy shares why he selected the Materialists actor to represent the French fashion brand: “Pedro is a wonderful man and an incredible actor. His kindness, talent and his vision of the world are both inviting and inspiring. We are thrilled to welcome him to the Chanel family and I’m happy to embark on this adventure together.”

On Pascal’s part, he’s thrilled to be a part of the Chanel family. “I love Matthieu’s vision, which I find powerful, elegant, and incredibly warm: it shows me how we could exist together, there’s something for everyone in his universe,” says Pascal, who is known for his roles in TV series like The Last of Us, The Mandalorian, and let’s not forget, Game of Thrones.
Lately, though, the Chilean-American actor has been on our radar for reasons other than his acting chops, undeniable charisma and affable personality: like ASAP Rocky and Harry Styles, Pascal is one of a growing group of male celebrities who has been wearing Chanel, and wearing it well. It started at Blazy’s lauded debut show for Chanel in October 2025. Pascal arrived at the front row casually dressed in a navy blue sweater, black pants and an oversized Chanel flap handbag. That leather bag, and Pascal’s presence, drove social media into a frenzy.
Since then, Pascal has been spotted out and about with his Chanel handbag, making no big deal out of the fact that he’s sporting what is traditionally seen as a woman’s purse.
Pascal again became a trending topic on the night of the Oscars in March, when he arrived on the red carpet wearing head-to-toe Chanel. Instead of a standard suit, the actor donned a white poplin tuxedo shirt and a pair of black pants, cinched with a black tuxedo belt. His accessories were all Chanel, too: Pascal wore a Chanel BOY·FRIEND watch in beige gold, a pair of Chanel glasses, polished leather Chanel shoes, and a big silk and feather brooch in the shape of a flower, pinned onto his shirt.
Pascal’s Oscars outfit was custom made for him by Blazy. It’s a clear sign that although Chanel is not launching menswear anytime soon—as the brand keeps clarifying, every time speculations emerge online—the French fashion house is still more than happy to open its doors to the boys.

Pascal is big and beloved enough of a Hollywood star to pull off wearing Chanel, and he might even inspire other men to do the same. He’s not alone in that endeavour: ASAP Rocky has been having fun with styling Chanel’s bolder womenswear pieces, and Euphoria actor Jacob Elordi has been quietly incorporating the brand’s shirts and jackets into his wardrobe.
In any case, Pascal’s all on board with his new fashion gig. “I am happy and honoured to join it and I am eager to see what Matthieu has planned for the future of Chanel,” he says. “The house has a remarkable ability to honour its heritage while remaining modern and relevant, and I am excited to be part of that evolving story.”
