- Activists from the anti-monarchy group Republic have staged a protest inside Buckingham Palace, unfurling a banner questioning the royal family's knowledge of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's friendship with Jeffrey Epstein.
- The banner, displayed in the throne room, featured an image of Andrew and Epstein alongside a smaller banner bearing the question “What did you know?”
- Andrew maintained a decades-long friendship with Epstein, hosting him at royal residences and socialising with him even after Epstein's 2008 conviction for child sex crimes.
- Graham Smith, Republic's chief executive officer, called for full disclosure from the palace, claiming that King Charles and Prince William would have been briefed on the relationship between Andrew and Epstein.
- Andrew, who was stripped of his titles in October, was arrested in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office over his relationship with Epstein; he was questioned and released under investigation.
