Kota Kinabalu: A Proton S70 Executive 1.5T Executive saloon car will be up for grabs as one of the Hole-In-One prizes at the Sabah Orphans Welfare Network Association (PJKAYS) Golf Charity event to be held at Sutera Harbour Marina Golf & Country Club here on May 4.

Apart from the vehicle sponsored by Fook Loi Corporation (Sabah) Sdn. Bhd., there will be three other Hole-In-One prizes including an RM5,000 cash from Ocean Vantage Holdings Berhad (OVH), a One-Year Golf Term Membership from Sutera as well as one mystery prizes to be announced later.

PJKAYS President Datuk Eddie Abdullah in a press conference held on Thursday said they are expecting 120 golfers to take part in the annual event to be officiated by deputy speaker Brig. Jen. Datuk Al Hambra Tun Juhar through a symbolic tee-off before the commencement of the game.

According to him, the tournament will play on a stableford system 36 format with attractive prizes for the top five winners in the VIP, Seniors, Medals A, B, C and the International Section to attract golfers from Brunei and South Koreans living or holidaying here.

“The funds raised through this annual charity event are to be used to host various welfare and wellbeing activities for orphans and needy children at the orphanage centres that we are collaborating within the various districts of Sabah,” he said.

He also extended their deepest appreciation to main sponsor, Ocean Vantage Holdings Berhad and the supporting sponsors Fook Loi and Malaysian Aviation Group (MAG) as well as Sutera Harbour Marina & Golf Club for their strong support towards the event.

Meanwhile, the entry fee is RM3,000 per flight for four golfers and the closing date is on April 24.
