Follows findings that 54% of Malaysians are unsure where to seek healthcare.

Kuala Lumpur, 2 July 2026 – Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad (PAMB) today introduced Prudential Guided Care, a suite of healthcare support services available for customers with medical coverage, designed to give Malaysians greater clarity, confidence, and timely access to appropriate care when they need medical support.

The introduction comes amid growing concerns around healthcare access including uncertainty about where to seek care. Findings from Prudential’s Patient Voices Malaysia¹ report revealed that 94% of Malaysians have delayed seeking medical care, with 54% citing uncertainty on where to go and concerns around affordability as key barriers.

Recognising these gaps, Prudential Guided Care has been developed to go beyond conventional medical coverage by supporting customers at every stage of their healthcare journey — from initial consultation through to recovery.

This includes a range of services designed to simplify and support the healthcare experience:

  • Care Concierge – Provides 24/7 access to appropriate specialists, including appointment booking support, making it easier for customers to find the right care.
  • Case Management Service – Delivers dedicated support through expert case management and access to second medical opinions, giving customers greater clarity from diagnosis through to recovery.
  • Homecare Programme – Provides professional care and recovery support at home or at a dedicated care centre for greater comfort and reassurance throughout recovery.

These services are complemented by additional features such as PRUPanel Plus, No Claims Benefit, day surgery benefits, and advanced treatment support, forming a more comprehensive healthcare ecosystem for customers with Prudential medical plans.

Speaking on the launch, Manisha Keyal, Chief Health Officer of PAMB said “Healthcare should not feel overwhelming, especially during critical moments when individuals are at their most vulnerable.”

“Sourcing the right healthcare providers and knowing where to go during critical moments can often feel confusing, intimidating and exhausting, especially when you’re not at your best. With Prudential Guided Care, we are here to support you when you need medical care, with greater clarity, confidence and quality care that goes beyond protection. Because true wealth is having health on your side,” she added.

The introduction of Prudential Guided Care reflects PAMB’s continued commitment to supporting Malaysians not only in managing healthcare costs, but also in navigating any complexities of the healthcare system with greater assurance and peace of mind.
