PSG coach Luis Enrique insists benching Kylian Mbappe yesterday had nothing to do with his exit plans.
Mbappe eventually came on and scored as PSG defeated Nantes 2-0.
The striker started on the bench after it emerged the Real Madrid target had informed PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi he would be leaving this summer.
Enrique explained: It is simple and difficult to explain at the same time.
"We played a Champions League game two days ago and needed energy to perform. It was important to give minutes to those who hadn't played.
"You know that we have ambitious goals. We will need all of our players."
