PSG star Lionel Messi has released a video apologising for his trip to Saudi Arabia.

Barcelona great Messi has been suspended for two weeks after visiting Saudi Arabia without permission from PSG last week. Messi is a tourism ambassador for Saudi Arabia.

He stated: "Hello, well, I wanted to make this video because of what is happening.

"First of all, I obviously apologise to my teammates and the club. I honestly thought we were going to have free time after the game as it came happening during the previous weeks.

"I had organised this trip to Arabia that I had previously canceled and I couldn't. And nothing, I repeat, I apologise for what I did and I'm waiting for what the club decides.

"Nothing more, a hug".
