Paris Saint-Germain's Qatari owners have informed the French club to slash its wage bill.

The Qatar royal family are said to be ready to buy Manchester United from the Glazer family.

Per The Times, Qatar Sports Investment are pushing to cut PSG's wage budget by around 30 percent.

The source does add that the move appears unconnected to the Qatari bid to buy Man United.

The Ligue 1 club are merely looking to cut their expenditure after paying exorbitant salaries to players in recent years.

Lionel Messi will be out of contract in the summer, while PSG are also looking to sell Neymar.
