Newcastle United's interest in Kalvin Phillips has taken a dramatic turn this week.
The Magpies were hoping they could secure Phillips from Manchester City on loan or permanently this winter.
However, RMC Sport in France now states that Paris Saint-Germain are entering the race.
PSG are looking at Phillips as an alternative to their top target - Newcastle's Bruno Guimaraes.
The Magpies now have to decide how badly they want to secure Phillips from City.
Losing Guimaraes may not be acceptable, which would make PSG favorites to land Phillips.
