West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini admits he's been trying to rebuild the bond between himself and the players.
Pellegrini is currently fighting for his job with the Hammers winless in their last seven games in all competitions. Their last Premier League win came on September 22.
Ahead of today's clash with Tottenham, Pellegrini said: "We tried to work.
"First to recover the trust of the players, to try to recover the style we are playing because we are conceding too many goals and not scoring so many, because we are not doing things in the correct way.
"When you are winning, everything is better, everyone gives a little bit more. When you are losing, it's more difficult because in every mistake you feel you concede a goal. So, football.
"It's a different game for the fans, a different game for the club. Of course it will be only three points but all of us know that, for our fans, it's good to beat Tottenham.
"We did it last season at their stadium (a 1-0 win, condemning Spurs to their first defeat in their new home). I hope now we will do it again against a difficult team."
