KUALA LUMPUR: The National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with My Digital ID Sdn Bhd to integrate the MyDigital ID digital identity into the myPTPTN application.

PTPTN chairman Datuk Seri Norliza Abdul Rahim stated this move aims to enhance efficiency and improve user experience in accessing online services.

“This transformation brings great benefits to the public by enabling them to conduct transactions conveniently, quickly, and securely from their homes, campuses, or anywhere else,” she said during the MoU signing ceremony at Menara PTPTN.

PTPTN was represented by its chief executive Ahmad Dasuki Abdul Majid while My Digital ID Sdn Bhd was represented by its chief executive officer Nik Hisham Nik Ibrahim.

The signing was witnessed by PTPTN chief operating officer Mastura Mohd Khalid and My Digital ID deputy chief executive officer Ir Ts. Azrin Aris alongside senior management from both organisations.

Norliza emphasised that this strategic collaboration aligns with the government’s National Digital Identity initiative and the Malaysia Digital Economy Blueprint.

She said the partnership demonstrates PTPTN’s commitment to becoming a progressive and customer-friendly digital organisation.

“PTPTN has introduced the myPTPTN application, in line with the fifth thrust of PTPTN’s 2021-2025 Strategic Plan, which is to empower the organisation towards greater dynamism and excellence through digitalisation,” she added.

Norliza revealed that more than 2.8 million users have accessed myPTPTN online as of October 15.

Through the platform, users can apply for loans, check loan balances, make repayments, and open or top up their Simpan SSPN savings accounts easily and securely.

Nik Hisham stated the collaboration supports the country’s digitalisation agenda while laying a strong foundation for digital innovation in education.

“More importantly, efforts like this help strengthen public trust in digital transactions, thereby contributing to the advancement of Malaysia’s digital economy,” he said.

The public can visit www.ptptn.gov.my or download the myPTPTN application for more information and to access PTPTN services anytime, anywhere. – Bernama
