PETALING JAYA: PTT Synergy Group Bhd’s net profit rose 31% to RM36.16 million in the fourth quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q4’26), from RM27.65 million a year earlier, despite a 27% decline in revenue to RM44.70 million from RM61.36 million.

The higher earnings were primarily driven by a gain from the valuation of its PTT Semicon Logistic Hub, which was completed on May 8, 2026. The group recorded a RM59.19 million fair value gain on investment properties during the financial year, mainly arising from the valuation of the hub.

For Q4’26, gross profit fell 89% to RM1.47 million from RM13.43 million, while operating profit increased 18% to RM42.35 million from RM36.01 million. Profit before tax rose 30% to RM34.02 million from RM26.11 million.

The construction segment, which remained the group’s largest revenue contributor, saw revenue decline to RM43.51 million from RM58.98 million previously and swung to a loss before tax of RM3.85 million from a profit of RM2.48 million. The weaker performance was attributed to higher operating costs, particularly diesel prices, as well as cost pressures arising from geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.

Meanwhile, the warehouse and logistics segment swung to a profit before tax of RM54.74 million from a loss of RM760,000, mainly due to the valuation gain on PTT Semicon Logistic Hub.

For the full financial year ended June 30, 2026 (FY26), net profit more than doubled to RM80.11 million from RM39.98 million, while revenue rose 29% to RM330.19 million from RM256.78 million.

The group said it enters FY27 with a construction order book of RM224.12 million and an active tender pipeline of about RM112.59 million. It has also secured sales of five industrial warehouse units with a total gross development value of RM260 million subsequent to the end of the quarter.

PTT Synergy said it remains focused on transforming from a construction-focused organisation into an integrated industrial infrastructure and smart logistics platform, with Construction, Development and Warehouse & Logistics as its three synergistic business segments.

It views warehouse and logistics as a key long-term growth engine, with its PTT Space platform combining warehousing, logistics, automation and technology capabilities. The group said PTT Logistics Hub 1 at Elmina Business Park began operations in 2025, while PTT Logistics Hub 2 and the PTT Semicon Logistics Hub in Penang are part of its expansion.

Separately, PTT Robotics Sdn Bhd entered into an agreement in July to acquire logistics software solutions from vTradEx Information Technology (Shanghai) Co Ltd for US$7.11 million. The acquisition covers warehouse management, warehouse execution, transportation management and yard management systems, and is expected to be completed in Q1’27.

The group said the acquisition is intended to strengthen its integrated logistics solutions capabilities, data ownership and potential for recurring income.
