Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is delighted with their deal for Atletico Madrid midfielder Rodri.

Guardiola pushed hard to land the 70m signing after being won over by Rodri's behaviour away from the pitch.

Rodri has no presence on social media and spends his time away from football studying for a degree in administration and business management.

The midfielder also has owned only two cars, one a second-hand Opel and the other a sponsored Hyundai, which Atletico insisted he take on over safety concerns for his old banger.

Rodri leaves Atleti for City just one season after arriving from Villarreal.
