Public Bank Bhd’s (KL:PBBANK) net profit fell 3.65% year-on-year to RM1.84 billion for the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2025 (3QFY2025) from RM1.91 billion on lower interest-based income after the 25-basis-point cut in the overnight policy rate during the quarter. No dividend was declared for the quarter. Quarterly revenue rose 8.96% to RM7.42 billion from RM6.81 billion a year ago. 99 Speed Mart Retail Holdings Bhd's (KL:99SMART) net profit for 3QFY2025 was RM160.65 million, a 50% increase when compared to RM 107.16 million last year. Revenue rose 19% to RM3.04 billion. Apart from higher transactions, there was also a marginal increase in average basket size to RM21.40 during the quarter. The group declared a dividend of 2.25 sen per share, comprising a second interim dividend of two sen and a special dividend of 0.25 sen, payable on Dec 12. Total dividends year to date totalled 4.50 sen per share, significantly higher than the 1.25 sen paid last year. The strong quarterly results also boosted the group's nine-month earnings to RM457.04 million, up 25% from RM365.85 million in the previous January-September period. Revenue for the period rose nearly 13% to RM8.36 billion from RM7.4 billion previously.
