Public Bank has announced the discontinuation of its PB engage MY mobile application, with the service ending on 15 August 2025. All users must migrate to the new MyPB App to continue accessing mobile banking services. This change is part of a broader trend among banks to upgrade their digital security and user experience.

Impact on Customer Accounts

The transition affects only the mobile application used to access your accounts. All customer account details, balances, and transaction histories remain secure and are not impacted by this change. The new MyPB App is designed to provide all the functions of the previous application and will be the sole platform for Public Bank’s mobile banking services.

How to Migrate to the MyPB App

To begin, users must download and install the MyPB App from the Google Play Store, Apple App Store, or Huawei AppGallery. After installation, log in using your existing PBe username and password. This action starts the setup process. To complete the migration securely, a push notification will be sent to your old PB engage MY application for you to approve, which confirms your identity and links your profile to the new app.

Activating Security Features

The MyPB App uses PB SecureSign, a digital token for authorising transactions, to enhance account security. After migrating, users must activate this feature. Activation can be completed at any Public Bank branch or ATM. For customers who already use a physical SecureSign Token, activation can be done directly within the MyPB App without visiting a physical location.

Following activation, a mandatory 12-hour cooling-off period is enforced. This is a critical security measure intended to protect accounts from unauthorised access. During this period, certain transactions will be temporarily restricted, providing a crucial window to detect and report any fraudulent activity.
